The Superflite twill rib bracing tape is a flat, non-sticky back tape intended for steadying the ribs prior to attaching fabric.  The twill tape is used to weave in between the ribs (in an X configuration) – this helps keep flimsy ribs straight while covering and shrinking the fabric.
